How To Pay Your Bill

Online Payment Center

The District is excited to offer customers an easy and convenient method to view and pay their water bills online.  Please click on our Online Payment Center link to access the site. The District has partnered with Muni-Link and NCR to provide a customer portal and online payment services.  When using NCR, our customers are able to pay using their checking account, debit card or credit card. This is a fee-based service. Our customers additionally have the option of setting up an account and choosing automatic payments out of their preferred banking account. Customers can sign-up for e-billing and eliminate the mailing of a paper water bill.

Payment Options: You have two (2) options for paying your bill; either by electronic check or credit card. You also have the option of making a one-time payment through the Online Payment Center or creating an account.

Electronic Check:  You will need one of your checks with you when you pay your bill online in order to get your account number and the bank’s routing number. There will be a $1.50 processing fee for all ACH payments.

Credit Card: We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit card payments. There will be a convenience fee for each online payment (Click here for the fee schedule).

Why create an online account?

The Online Payment Center does not require an account, however there are many benefits associated with creating an online account.  The accounts allow you to sign up for electronic bill notices, see online payment history, copies of your previous bills, set up auto-pay, or schedule a future payment on a bill.

Beware of 3rd Party Payment Websites

Doxo.com is a third party website that appears to be affiliated with Auburn Water District but they are NOT. Doxo.com takes longer to process which could possibly result in late charges. Customers should pay online thru our website which brings you to our online bill process company Invoice Cloud. Payments made thru our website are posted to your account in 48 hours.

Mail Payment

Mail your payment using the pre-addressed return envelope that is included with your bill. Please remember, you must return the bottom portion of your bill with your payment so your account will be properly credited. Do not send cash in the mail. Please write your account number on your check and allow five (5) business days for delivery.

Payments placed in the mail slot are picked up weekday mornings during the District’s regular business hours. This method is not recommended for customers at risk for a disconnection in service. Please include your name and account number on the check or money order.  Do not place cash in the mail slot.

Third Party Payments

Customers can pay their bill using third-party services, such as your financial institution’s online service. In some instances your financial institution may send us a payment by mail. In these instances a delay of five to seven days may occur in the processing of your payment.

Insufficient Funds

If a check is returned to the District by the bank for any reason, the account will be assessed a $30 penalty.

Payment Scams

District employees never collect payment at a customer’s property. If someone approaches you for payment of water charges on your property, it may be a utility scam and you should contact the Auburn Police Department.
