In-Person

You can pay your water utility bill at the Customer Services counter at the District Office during normal business hours. We accept cash, money orders and checks only. We cannot accept debit or credit card payments at the counter. Checks should be payable to the “Auburn Water District” and include your account number. The office is located at 75 Church Street, Auburn.

Mail Slot

A mail slot is located in the front door of the District Office, located at 75 Church Street, Auburn. Payments placed in the mail slot are picked up weekday mornings during the District’s regular business hours. This method is not recommended for customers at risk for a disconnection in service. Please include your name and account number on the check or money order.

Third Party Payments

Customers can pay their bill using third-party services, such as your financial institution’s online service. In some instances your financial institution may send us a payment by mail. In these instances a delay of five to seven days may occur in the processing of your payment.

Insufficient Funds

If a check is returned to the District by the bank for any reason, the account will be assessed a $30 penalty.

Payment Scams

District employees never collect payment at a customer’s property. If someone approaches you for payment of water charges on your property, it may be a utility scam and you should contact the Auburn Police Department.
